About

Vision Boards (Online)

In this virutal continuing education workshop, Kiri Lester-Hodges ATR-BC, LCAT, will engage in vision boards as a creative approach to facilitate communication, generate new goals, and develop different perspectives; while offering practical creative interventions for professionals to apply to their professional development, and clinical application. Through the use of arts-based methods and reflective writing, the hour will be focused on vision boards as a creative approach and participants will be encouraged through intention setting, guidance, and prompts to engage in self-examination, introspection, and reflection on their personal and professional experiences as they envision their ideal future.

Participants are encouraged to have available the following materials; collage images, word cutouts, glue or tape, and coloring materials.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will have an understanding of ways to facilitate vision boards as a clinical application tool to facilitate client’s treatment plans (e.g., endorsing self-expression, client goals)

  2. Participants will learn to use to vision boards to facilitate components of professional development (e.g., self-awareness, professional goals, countertransference, transference)

  3. Participants will engage in experiential learning and creative arts approaches to process didactic material.
